September and early October can be the nicest time of the year in southern New England. As long as the tropics cooperate (no one wants to ruin September with a hurricane) the weather this time of year is hard to beat. Take, for example, the next 6 days.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I mean how boring?
The only thing worth watching over the next few days is an area of thunderstorms over the Caribbean that is slowly drifting northwest.
The GFS and Euro both show this disturbance developing into a tropical storm and crossing Cuba and south Florida by late next week. The environment doesn’t look overly favorable for development (shear and some dry air issues) but I wouldn’t be surprised if this storm got a name.
