2 Wet Months

September is in the record books and no one should be surprised that September 2011 will go down as one of the wettest on record. In the Hartford area 9.65″ of rain fell this month making it the 5th wettest September on record. August 2011 was the 2nd wettest August on record when 11.67″ of rain fell.

Needless to say we don’t need anymore rain! If we receive exactly average amounts of rain during October, November, and December we will break the record for wettest year on record which was set in 2008 with 65.43″. Obviously it’s too early to say whether or not we will break the record but as of right now we are on a record-setting pace.

More showers are expected off and on over the next couple days – some of the rain could be locally heavy. We deserve a break.
