Hurricane Irene changed the face of some Connecticut beaches with severe erosion. At the Owenego in Branford the water used to come within a few feet of the sea wall at high tide. This afternoon there was no beach left at all during high tide.
The Sound is still littered with debris with logs, sticks, pieces of homes, and trash that’s washing ashore with each high tide.
I’ve also uploaded some of our coverage from Hurricane Irene that most people missed Sunday morning. It’s hard to watch TV without power. Here’s one of the clips from our Irene special report.
