What a winter! What a month!!! For weather freaks (like myself) it doesn’t get much better than this. So far Windsor Locks has officially recorded 43.0″ of snow (though about 6″ of that is B.S. due to some wacky measurements). The snowiest month on record, December 1945, with 45.3″ will almost certainly be beaten.
I expect that by the end of January we will best the the December 1945 snowfall by a wide enough margin that the 6″ of bogus data won’t even matter. We are talking about epic snow totals here
Our computer models have come into better agreement that another major snowstorm will impact Connecticut Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning. This storm may not be all snow with sleet, freezing rain, and rain possible especially in southeastern Connecticut. At this point I’d say a 6″-12″ kind of storm is probable in interior parts of the state with less at the shoreline. The exact amounts will be determined by the track of the storm and how much warm air moves in ahead of the storm’s arrival.
