3 snow events in about 5 days is impressive and that appears to be what we see. Snow tonight is overspreading the state with an exploding area of low pressure off Cape Cod. The storm is moving too fast and is too far southeast to bring a big dump of snow to Connecticut but a band of mid level frontogenesis is producing enough lift to drop a few inches of snow.
Most of the snow will be in eastern Connecticut with 3″-6″ possible. Central areas will likely only see an inch or two with little accumulation in western Connecticut.
Another storm threatens Tuesday night into Wednesday. All of our models are beginning to converge on a solution that would bring a sizable nor’easter up the coast. Significant snowfall (>6″) is possible with this storm.
Up north, and even here in Connecticut, it looks like some great skiing over the next couple days. Nice powder stashes to be found!
