Here’s the GFS MOS for the upcoming week at Bradley Airport. Ughhhhh. Notice Saturday and Sunday have highs in the 90s with low dew points (in the 50s). By Tuesday and Wednesday the humidity cranks up and so does the heat.
The 00z Euro’s searing mega torch with nearly unheard of warmth did not show up again in the 12z run which is good news. I still think Washington, D.C. could see consecutive 100º days with very high humidity, but even without the silly warmth forecast, it’s still going to be a brutal week with increasing humidity.
If the models trend back to 850mb temperatures much higher than 20ºC (right now they show near 20 for the upcoming week) this heat wave could become even worse.
