Not much excitement here in the wx office tonight watching this storm.
Most of the state is seeing rain… unless you’re over 600 feet where there’s a snow/sleet mix coming down. A big dry slot (that the NAM modeled very well) with dry air above 700mb is shutting off the precipitation in a big way and I expect sleet and rain to be the dominant precip types tonight. Freezing rain will be an issue up in Litchfield County where temperatures are below freezing.
Could see 1/4-1/3″ of ice accretion up in Litchfield County.
Some snow late tonight with a developing cold conveyor belt but this is not certain. I think 1″-3″ will be likely out of this in the hills with just about nothing in the valleys/shore.
