Evening Update

Dry air in the boundary layer FTW this evening. Finally snow is reaching the ground across most of the state and in some areas along the shoreline already 2-3″ is on the ground. The forecast is basically in tact but I have a feeling the dry air thats feeding south (notice the low tds HFD/BDL) down the CT River Valley may hold down accumulations a tad from Hartford on north and west.

I’m thinking 6-10″ northwest of Hartford (especially Litchfield County) with 10-16″ southeast of there including most of Connecticut (Tolland, Windham, Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London Counties). Really this isn’t a huge change from my previous 8-14″ forecast but I feel like things are coming into somewhat better focus.
Hartford should pick up around 10″ and I think New Haven will receive over a foot.
BDL – 8-10″
BDR – 12-14″
